Within the Utility Hosting Environment, Infoplex can provide a range of application services. The platform can deliver virtual private servers or dedicated servers, either of which can be attached to all or some of our Unified Storage Vault™ suite of services.

The virtual private server solutions provided can be powered by either VMWare or Xen on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. The virtual private servers can be delivered in 4, 8 and 12 VMs (virtual machines) per host in the farm or customised solutions are available if required. The individual VMs reside within larger farms and are intelligently managed to provide maximum performance.

The dedicated server solutions are built to suit the customer from Infoplex standard specification servers. Infoplex carries a small supply of standard servers so that turnaround time on customer requests is as quick as possible.

Customers choosing either the virtual private server or dedicated server services can choose to have the entire device, down to the operating system and in some cases the applications (in the form of the Infoplex SaaS Platform), managed by Infoplex, or they can do it themselves. The entire solution is flexible and can be tailored as much as required to meet the needs of the customer.

Within the Utility Hosting Environment, Infoplex can provide one fully managed application or several integrated applications. Examples include email, databases, intranet applications, and financial systems. Each of these can be managed and hosted by Infoplex. Or to derive maximum value, all of these systems can be delivered as a service on the Infoplex Saas Platform.

Taking the concept of SaaS a step further, Infoplex has experience in providing entire application platforms scaled across our various facilities via the Multiple Applications Grid.

Through the use of intelligent load balancing technology, our Unified Storage Vault™ and multiple data centres, Infoplex is able to provide a service that delivers high availability applications and scalability.
