About Us

Infoplex is a 100% subsidiary of The Leighton Group. Established in 2006 to provide hosting for the Incite application (a document collaboration software tool used extensively in the construction industry). The scale of infrastructure required for Incite provided the basis for a broader range of infrastructure products to be offered to the group companies allowing them to benefit from the economies of scale Infoplex were operating. Over time Infoplex has evolved from providing hosting infrastructure for a single application to providing a select range of core products that are a common requirement among all our customers. This model allows us to build economies of scale and repeatable processes for delivery and maintenance. This enables us to reduce costs across the board, savings which we pass on to our customers. Infoplex took the decision to make these products available to the market external to the Leighton Group, the same products and services we offered to the group were very much in demand across most organisations in Australia.

As time has progressed Infoplex have increased the range of services available but have restricted the growth to keep our offerings within our core competencies. In 2008 we completed the build of our Integrated Services Network (ISN), an MPLS network connecting the major cities of Australia and providing higher level services directly in the core. Since it was built, due to customer requirements, we have extended the ISN into Asia. Customers connecting to, or hosted on, the ISN are able to access all our services without having to leave their private network. In 2008 Infoplex were a winner of a Red Hat Innovation Award in the Optimisation category for their Incite implementation. The scale of the business requirement and the optimal approach taken by Infoplex to meet the need were the major factors in winning the award. As a Red Hat partner Infoplex are an active participant in and users of Open Source technologies.

Our mantra is to turn the basic core IT services into true utility services. These are the services that provide no competitive advantage to your business but those which every modern organisation finds essential. By providing these services and removing the need for any capital outlay to acquire them, Infoplex allow customers to concentrate on their core business and allows their IT departments to focus on the technology that actually brings them a competitive advantage. As we state “We own the technology, you run your business”.
