Backups
Infoplex offer enterprise class backup and restore of data stored on Infoplex managed infrastructure. We offer two backup models – standard and enterprise.
Our standard backup service includes data retention for 28 days and is priced on the size of the source data plus the cost of the agent (which reflects the nature of the data backed up), customers can request point-in-time restores for any period within the 28 days.
Our enterprise backup service includes daily incrementals, weekly fulls and then the retention of up to 12 monthly fulls plus an annual retained backup. Customers can recover files or whole systems from any point in the last 12 months. The most stringent of compliance requirements can be met and our default retention period of 7 years caters for most of these. Pricing of the enterprise backup service is calculated on the data retained plus a license cost per device.

Our standard and enterprise services have different pricing models.
Standard
The standard backup service is simply priced on the size of the source data eg a 1TB file system will incur a 1TB monthly backup fee. There is no cost for restores.

Enterprise
With the enterprise backup service, backups are charged for the data retained ie for the total amount of data backed up and retained in accordance with the agreed retention schedule. Customers pay no extra for data restores.

For example, a 10TB file system with no changes, with a retention policy of full weekly backups retained for 1 month, we would estimate the total amount backed up after 1 month to be 50TB (four weekly full backups plus the total incremental backups for the last two weeks). After the second month we would estimate the total to be in the region of 60TB
Server Backup Agent
Each server backed up must have the relevant file system agent to allow backup. These are charged per month for a 1, 2 or 3 year committed term.

Off site retention: For an additional charge off site retention can be organised to specific requirements in line with their Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Retention Policies: Our standard retention policy provides for a high level of restore capabilities. Custom policies can be designed to reduce or increase the safety net.
Database / Exchange backups: Infoplex can accommodate backups of these systems with a different backup agent that reduces the time the backup takes, the amount of data retained (reducing your overall cost) and facilitating self service restores.
